Maximum Performance with LION
For maximum performance in automation tied to the office Hirschmann in the meantime offers four basic devices in the LION family. All of them are planed for using in control rooms.

Because large amounts of data have to be processed quickly, safely and flexibly – after all, data has a short expiry period. A workgroup switch must therefore meet the requirements of the office environment and above all having one thing in particular: maximum performance.
LION-24TP is being used if many end users will be connected to a company backbone via standard Fast Ethernet.
SmartLION-TP/FX is very similar to LION-24TP in terms of feature set and offers additionally a high flexibility in chosing the medium used. There are several Fast Ethernet interface modules available for connection via twisted pair ports or fiber optic ports.
GigaLION-24TP is being used if many end users will be connected to a company backbone via standard Gigabit Ethernet.
PowerLION-24TP is dedicated for applications if GigaLION features are required in combination with comprehensive routing mechanisms
