Tailor-made networks - OpenRail
At Hirschmann, the successors to the proven Rail switch product series and the modular variant MICE will be produced in future according to customer order. Individually designed and configured switches which exactly meet customer requirements provide tailor-made solutions.
Regardless of whether it is used for setting up small, medium or large networks, for entry level or management level, in mining, automobile production, mechanical engineering, process or transport automation – the extreme variability of OpenRail offers a made-to-measure solution for all areas of application. Therefore, OpenRail switches are used equally in low-cost automation applications and in networks in a harsh industrial environment or in highly complex applications which require a high port density and maximum availability.
A suitable switch is available for every application. A compromise in form, number of ports, media, licenses or operating temperature is no longer necessary, nor is a decision between gigabit or Fast Ethernet. Every one of the more than 1,000 variants is based on the same user interface. A user will therefore find the same functions in the same places in every switch. The standard switch is replaced by a tailor-made switch at the same price as the standard. An optimized production process makes these switches available within just a few days.
