Belden Europe (Venlo/Netherlands), Hirschmann Automation (Neckartenzlingen) and Lumberg Automation (Schalksmühle) appeared in Hanover for the first time together under the roof of the Belden EMEA business unit. The product portfolio on show ranged from data cables and Industrial Ethernet switches to connection systems for the actuator/sensor level.
Vistors were able to get a firsthand impression of the extensive competence of Belden EMEA at the twostorey, approximately 450 square meter booth. The new products of the three subsidiaries included, for example, cables for the Profibus PA standard used in the process automation as well as network devices with which IP telephones or IP cameras can be supplied with power via data cables and a ProfiNet variant of the modular I/O system LioN-Link.
"We left the fair with a few promising project inquiries in our bags," said Booth Manager Knut Erpenbach from Hirschmann Automation. The first successes of the solution business were also registered.
Belden EMEA boss Dr. Wolfgang Babel commented: "Whereas we are mainly offering components today, the focus in the future will be more on branch-specific solutions in which our products are optimally adapted to each other depending on the customer's requirements." The solutions will be making an even stronger appearance at the Nuremberg SPS/IPC/DRIVES automation fair in November. The fourth Belden EMEA company, HEWKabel from Wipperfürth, will then probably also be on board.
