In May 2006 a photovoltaic plant was installed in the municipality of Großbettlingen, near Stuttgart, with a capacity of 26 kWp. The plant was mounted on a road noise barrier that when connected contributes to the local power supply system. The cabling and connection of the photovoltaic modules was achieved with the Hirschmann SunCon System.
In the south of Germany, the community of interests "Stoiadler" work together on projects with the aim of producing equal-zero-emission power.
The capacity of the photovoltaic plant “Stoiadler III” is around 26 kWp. This approximates to an annual production of about 27.000 kWh and would be enough to cover the yearly energy needs of 7 average family households. The CO² reduction represents approximately 15.000 kg a year. The investment volume amounts to around 175.000 Euro.
The SunCon System provides fast and easy connection for all photovoltaic installations and is ideally suited to harsh environments, and exposure to extremes of temperature and weather. Reliable maintenance-free, efficient operation, combined with their low-loss conductivity. It satisfied all stringent requirements for the “Stoiadler III” photovoltaic project.
